Testimonials
Dear Physician Chart Auditors,
I first became a PCA student four years ago and continually benefit from your class. During the course, I learned the basics of auditing, terminology, medical decision-making, modifiers, HCPCS codes, and payer guidelines. This information allowed me to audit charts in the practice I was managing at the time. The practice was able realize an additional 15% of revenue just from implementing correct coding and chart auditing techniques that my staff and I learned from Physician Chart Auditor courses. I have also been able to work from home auditing for practices and hospitals as a second job. What I have found most helpful has been your educational material (which I still use today), and the guidance you provided for ways to approach physicians when discussing their documentation. I have highly recommended your course to many individuals in health care and encouraged those with very little experience in the field to try the course, as it is designed for all levels.
I wish you continued success in your endeavors.
Sincerely,
Laura Higgins, PCA
Dear Physician Chart Auditors,
In the fall of 2004, I enrolled in the Physician Chart Auditing course, taught by Lyn Henderson, CPC, CCS-P, CHCC, PCA, and hosted through the Lifespan Physicians Service Organization.
I have over twenty years experience in medical practice and medical billing management. In my current position as an administrator, I became responsible for assisting our physician compliance officer with regular monthly chart audits as a required part of our compliance plan. At the time, I had not previously done any chart auditing, though I was knowledgeable in the aspects of evaluation and management coding. I enrolled in the PCA course to learn the correct technique of chart auditing.
The Physician Chart Auditor course is still one of the best investments I have made in my continuing education. Lyn is an energetic, articulate, and a competent instructor. The course content included instruction in the components, definitions, and application of evaluation and management coding using both 1995 and 1997 coding guidelines. Once the class mastered that material, Lyn expertly guided and taught us the auditing process through the use of actual examples of physician notes and her own auditing experiences.
I successfully completed the course and continue to use the techniques and knowledge I learned from the PCA course on a daily basis in my professional life. I am now confident in my ability to accurately perform chart audits.
Sincerely,
Denise Andrade, MBA, PCA

Dear Mrs. Henderson,
I wanted to thank you for your comprehensive course on physician chart auditing. You made the course informative and fun, with real documentation examples and plenty of diverse evaluation and management topics to discuss. The workbook that was provided, which outlines both the 1995 and 1997 guidelines, makes it so easy to chart audit now. The workbook is a great resource. Everything is in one place and accessible. I am able to breeze through my monthly audits with ease and self confidence. The internal medicine physicians I work with greatly appreciate my feedback and actually look forward to our monthly meetings. I have recommended your course to fellow coders at my local AAPC chapter meetings and physician practices. I have also gone so far as to recommend your course to Women and Infants’ Hospital a Care New England affiliate. I am looking forward to any further coding courses or seminars you will be hosting. Please do add me to your email address for any new and upcoming events.
Sincerely,
Elissa A. Horner, CPC, PCA
It is not a surprise, for many of us in the medical field that medical groups/clinics continue constantly struggle with generating accurate records of what physicians do during office visits, consultations, hospital care, and other evaluation and management patient encounters. The widespread under documentation of E/M services not only results in significant revenue losses due to under coding, but also exposes groups to patient care, malpractice liability, and payer audit risks associated with an incomplete medical record. Being familiar with all the issues/problems and the opportunities, I was thrilled to be able to take the Physician Chart Auditing course, presented by Lyn Henderson in the Spring of 2007. Lyn is very knowledgeable and approachable. Her course gave me all the tools I needed to improve the documentation accuracy in our clinics and to assist our residents with compliance to Federal and State regulations. Great Hands-on Chart Auditing exercises were included as well as CMS Documentation Guidelines for Evaluation and Management Services made the package complete and helpful. I would not hesitate to take any courses offered by Lyn Henderson and her instructors in the future.

I have taken two courses with Physician Chart Auditors, LLC over the past two years. They were the Physician Coding Specialist and the Physician Chart Auditor courses. Lyn and her staff have an exceptional style of teaching and rapport with their students.
I had some experience with medical billing and coding prior to taking the courses, but came away with a better knowledge and understanding that has helped me advance my career. When I took the auditing class, the instructor taught us through her experiences, which made the information fall into place and stick in my mind. I would recommend to anyone wanting to become proficient in medical billing, coding, auditing, or any other classes added to the Physician Chart Auditor schedule to enroll in PCA courses. It is the only place to go for a well-rounded education. I know that I will.

Physician Chart Auditor Courses: The PCA course was right to the point, clear, and concise. The information was presented in a manner that made it easy to follow and not overwhelming. Lyn was able to answer all my questions and made everyone feel comfortable in the learning environment. I left the course with a much greater knowledge of coding and the ability to identify inadequate coding as well as adequate coding. The PCA course has been invaluable to my billing career.
